The Burglary Detective in the episode has just finished expounding on Harold's
recall being too good to be true. He pulls a cigar box from his desk drawer,
takes out a stogie and lights it.
SAM
7 years on the force and still an optimist.
PETE
You know, the difference between you and me, Sam? I'd say a cigar box is
half full and you'd say it's half empty.
SAM
First I'd wanna see the box.
PETE
(points to cigar box on desk)
It's right under your nose, Sgt.
Comments: This exchange shows Pete's sense of humor at its best.
It also shows a character who's a bigger cynic than Pete sometimes seems
to be.
